When it began
Sing! Choirs started back in September 2011 when Kathryn started to plan taster sessions in Ely for a new choir.

Kathryn, Musical Director
Kathryn is an experienced musician, and an expert in bringing people together to make music no matter what their background or experience. Kathryn directs all the choirs in the Sing! Choirs family and is also responsible for managing all the performances and events that Sing! Choirs does, as well as putting together a number of the arrangements too.
Graduating from Southampton University with a BA (Hons) in Music, Kathryn has gone on to work with some of the countries leading music organisations, as a workshop leader, musician and project manager. She has worked with Philharmonia Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, Wigmore Hall, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Cambridge Music Festival, Academy of Ancient Music and Trinty Laban.
Kathryn is an “Outstanding” Early Years Music Facilitator, and continues to make music with children in their pre-school years, as well as working with staff in early years settings to develop their skills in music delivery, through her programme “Music to Grow to”.
Kathryn is also Director of a Registered Charity called “All In Sound”, that she founded and initiated in 2018. All In Sound provides high quality music-making and singing opportunities for people who may otherwise not be able to access them, in safe and inclusive environments. Sing! Together” provides opportunities for people living with dementia, with memory loss and their carers, which started in Ely in April 2018. During 2022, All In Sound has also run a creative therapy programme for bereaved young people in partnership with Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice and Child Bereavement UK. Jason, Composer
Jason is a workshop leader, composer, presenter and musician who has directed hundreds of creative projects across Great Britain. He works with with a wide range of ensembles from small groups to large scale collaborations with performances including over 300 musicians and singers.
He produces backing tracks and arrangements for Sing! Choirs. Jason works with a huge range of organisations including Royal Opera House, Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra and also leads workshops for All In Sound for their work with bereaved young people.
